Welcome to another installment of my littles’ bento lunches! All lunches seen are chosen by Noah and Penny! They tell me what they want to eat and I make it happen by buying said food and then they help me put it all together, it’s a pretty fun partnership between us three. And in case you are wondering, the little two get in on the action here at home, sometimes they get identical lunches as these are so easy to do assembly-line style while other times they are eating the leftover bits done up creatively. Y’know, the negative pieces of the sandwiches that so many of you wonder what I do with…my youngest happily eat them! I just cut them up into squares or if there are big enough pieces I use smaller cookie cutters…there is no waste in this house especially when we are buying organic meats, cheeses and GF breads! Okie dokie…on to the lunches!
Lunch 1: Blackberries with a leaf pick, green grapes with a bear pick, Applegate turkey sandwich kabob, bacon jerky, and Annie’s fruit snacks. Lunch 2: Apple slices (dipped in lemon juice to keep from browning…cause I know you’ll ask!) with a doggie pick, Earth’s Best mini pancakes with a small container of maple syrup, dried unsweetened coconut flakes, and halloween Oreos. Lunch 3: Blueberries with a doggie pick, apple slices with a froggy pick, Applegate turkey sandwich circles skewer on giraffe and elephant picks, and a Clif Kid Z bar. Lunch 4: Cucumber slices, goldfish, spring salad greens mix with croutons and a small container of cheddar cheese. My kids took this lunch to school for a week straight! It happens to be one of a few lunch options that they choose when they buy hot lunch at school (they buy hot lunch once a week), can you believe that? I am still in shock that their school offers a salad bar. Winning!!!! Lunch 5: Apples slices with a froggy pick, red grapes with a leaf pick, raisin, and a healthier version of a lunchable (which autocorrect just corrected to a ‘punchable’ and I find that hilarious!) which includes Applegate turkey and cheddar cheese slices as well as some crackers. Lunch 6: Dried apple rings, blueberries with a leaf pick, bacon jerky, and Earth’s Best french toast sticks with a small on container of maple syrup. Lunch 7: Apples slices with a squirrel pick, Applegate ham and mustard kabobs, Annie’s cheddar bunnies, and Halloween Oreos.Lunch 8: Green and red grapes with a leaf pick, blackberries with a leaf pick, Annie’s fruit snacks, and yet another version of a healthier lunchable…Applegate turkey and cheddar cheese slices and crackers.
Hope these help inspire you to create easy and healthy lunches for your little ones!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Love,
Maggie
