Goodbye Work Gift Idea

| Filed Under: Gift Ideas, Tutorials

So last week a good friend of mine left her job of several years. Transitions, especially work-related ones, are tough so I thought I’d put a little package together for her to help her settle in with such a big life change. As I was putting this gift together I thought how this would also be great to give to a new momma who has decided to be a stay-at-home mom after years in the workforce or even a great gift for someone retiring too…oh the transitions we go through, sigh. This Goodbye Work gift package has 3 elements to it. The first is “Pop!” which includes a little bottle of champagne and a confetti shooter to pop, pop, pop and say Congratulations to moving onward to something different and exciting albeit unknown sometimes. The second part of the gift is “Indulge!” and it includes a pint of ice cream with a little cozy I made (tutorial here which fits ice cream pints perfectly!) so hands don’t get cold, a big spoon to enjoy it with, and a box of Double Stuff Oreos. Sometimes you just need to sit down with a pint of ice cream, y’know?!And the third part of the gift is “Relax!” which included a few fun magazines and some small bottles of Lavender scented lotion and shower gel from Bath & Body Works so she could spend some time just chilling and enjoying a bit of Me time. Then I packaged it all up in a basket and brought it over on her last day of work hoping a life transition could be eased just a little bit!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Love,

Maggie

That is such a cute (and simple) idea! I would feel so loved if I ever got something like this from a coworker. Definitely makes me want to think about the little things I can do for others.
