…until I saw him on little boys’ underwear. Well, maybe it’s just the little boys’ underwear that is just so darn cute! We started potty training Noah a couple of days ago…we are starting Day 3 today, actually! And, I still can’t get over how cute all his little underwear is…these teeny, tiny, little tighty whities with all these little cartoon characters dancing on them…just adorable! You feel me, right? Take a peek at how sweet they look on my Noah:
Freakin’ adorable, right!?
I never thought I would want to have him so into Bert and Ernie, Cookie Monster and Thomas the Train…until now. He’s never really even watched these shows before…does Sesame Street even come on anymore? But now, just knowing these little cartoon-y names has brought a whole new fun world to him every morning when he gets to pick out a new pair! LOVE IT! So far, our potty training adventure is going quite smoothly. We decided that when we were going to start doing it that we were not going to do anymore diapers or even (gasp, what are we thinking!) a pull-up…it was underwear or bust for us! I have to say, Noah has been great, I have yet to clean up a puddle of pee from off of the floor yet…and YES, I am crossing my fingers now! He even has been dry every night…so far! We have even managed to leave the house to run some errands and he hasn’t had an accident with pee all over his pants and a big puddle on the store floor (my biggest fear…oh, the embarrassment this would bring me!) The hardest part so far has been occupying little Miss Penny. She likes to be all up in his bathroom space touching everything and trying to dip her hands into the toilet while Noah sits on it…gross, I know. This morning, I gave her a box of Rice Krispies to bang on while I was with Noah in the bathroom (you all know I’ve got lots of them lying around the house lately). I figured it was closed and well, what could she really do but try to rip the box apart!? I was sooooo wrong….this is what she did:
Yeah, she’s having fun.
Rice Krispies on the kitchen floor…the new indoor sandbox?
So, I ask, have you ever had one of these moments? I looked at her and started laughing…could I really be mad about this!? After I thought about what a mess I would have to clean up (you know that’s the first thought in any momma’s mind!) , I figured that it was a great moment for a picture and just started snapping away. This is one for the books, a story to tell her husband, or for me to share at her wedding, maybe it’ll even help her get through her long days when her little ones do the same thing. Once Noah finished on the potty he joined in too…Why not!? What’s a few thousand more crushed rice krispies on my kitchen floor?

Ha ha …so cute, yet so not fun to clean up those types of messes.
