So, I received this in the mail a while back and realized I’ve never shared it with you…maybe because I’m not totally sure it’s a good thing 🙂
Yup, another pretty white envelope…not from the President this time…
But from Starbucks.
Wanna see what they sent me?
Okay, here goes nothing…
Hmmm…a congratulations card? Â
For having a baby?
Nope.
For patronizing their stores a little too frequently.
You see why I’m not sure if this is such a good thing.
You see, this is a ‘Gold’ Card and it’s for those of us that have a Starbucks problem and should probably really be going to some type of Starbucks Anonymous group (let’s just add that to my weekly Fabric Addict group and my evenings will be all scheduled up!)
Maybe this card is our honorary membership into that said group…
Did you all catch that date up there telling you how long I have been a cardholder since?
Yup, 2008…wha-wha-whaaat? Â 2008!!! (holding head in shame)
Hey, to be fair I put in a lot of years of school…really, years of it…studying for tests and board exams and all that fun stuff that I am just so glad is behind me now. Â I needed something to keep me going. Â
When I peeled off that lovely Gold card up there, this was waiting for me underneath it.
Really?
Like I need another reason to stop in…
Twisting my arm, aren’t they?
If you are lucky weak addicted cool enough to get to this level, just look at all the benefits you will receive!Â
See, it’s really a money saving tactic on my part.
So Gold card, my new shine-y love, I will gladly use you the next time I visit.
(Since I’m all about saving a buck or two.)
I’ve even got the perfect little place to keep you in my wallet…
🙂
Happy Middle of the Week Day to YOU!

LOL That’s pretty funny, especially the way you wrote it up. But hey, you earned it! Congrats! (Still giggling.)

I get those, too. I know what you mean about feeling a bit sheepish perhaps that you get them!

Thats hilarious and awesome for you! I worked at Starbucks for two days…then I realized I hated the smell of coffee and didn’t understand ONE WORD of any order! Now why doesn’t the dollar store send me something like this? 🙂

I love all the rewards I can get at Starbucks. I signed up every.single.member of my immediate family to get free drinks for their birthday. And I register every gift card I buy so that I get the rewards points for it. So worth it!

OMG!!! I never even knew this existed! I LOVE starbucks too…I go throught withdrawl without it. Only thing is they raised their prices quite high here in BC due to tax things and it’s about $4.45CDN for a tall latte!!! Crazy. My friend ordered a Grande the other day and it was over $5!!!! the hubs cut me back to only one a week. Argghhh..

I have to say, I found this even more funny due to the fact that I am sitting here reading it while sipping on my Tall Skinny Vanilla Latte from… you guessed it, Starbucks!! haha. 🙂

I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your site. It’s a very easy on the
eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come
here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer
to create your theme? Outstanding work!
