Mango Smoothie Recipe

| Filed Under: Beverages, Breakfast, Dairy Free, Giveaways, Gluten Free, Paleo, Recipes

If there is one thing my family cannot get enough of it’s Smoothies! We make them for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and sometimes depending on how busy we are, even dinner! I love that you can mix up so many healthful ingredients and make something that tastes good and all my kids will drink up. Mom win!!! This Mango Smoothie Recipe is no exception, it is super easy to make with only a few ingredients and it tastes awesome! It’s one of our favorite Smoothie Recipes! (affiliate links present)
Mango Smoothie Recipe

The National Mango Board contacted me earlier this summer to share a recipe with you from their new cookbook, Mango Eats & Treats, and to challenge me to create healthier eating and snack options for my family.  I was more than willing to participate as we L.O.V.E. mangoes in the Smashed Peas household.
Want to know a few fun mango facts!?  Did you know that an average mango has about 100 calories and is an excellent source of vitamins C & A?  Vitamin C helps promote healthy immune function and collagen formation (it’s good for you skin!) and vitamin A is important for vision and bone growth.  They are also a great source of dietary fiber…so eat your mangos people!

Smoothies are great but we tend to go for plain old, cut up fruit

We make smoothies with kale or spinach and sweeten them up with fresh or frozen chunks of in-season fruit. Soy milk or apple juice makes the base.

what a fun give-a-way! I have to say our favorite way to eat fruits is just fresh, but we do love to put them in the fridge so they are cold! (I love apples n peanut butter!)

We like making fruit kabobs. Seems that anything you put on a toothpick or a skewer is more appealing.

Wow! Love the recipe 🙂 My kiddos are loving the Mango flavor right now 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing and the give-away!

We just incorporate fruits and veggies into everything 🙂 When we have apples the kids love to get their “own” apple out of the fridge, all on their own. They love to eat fruit, we have a gigantic garden that we harvest all kinds of veggies from and are planning on eating all year long! Every way and any way we can eat it, we do 🙂

We love fresh fruits and steamed veggies! My 3.5 year old daughter’s favorite veg are brussel sprouts and broccli – just straight up steamed, nothing on them.

I incorporate my raw veggies and fruit into my morning smoothies. I’m addictied to spinach smoothies! (also includes almond milk, banana, cherry tomatos, carrots, crisp pink apple, frozen strawberry, frozen peach, frozen blueberries…mmmmm!) Sometimes other fruits get incorporated in, just go with what sounds good at the time.

Gosh we love fruits & veggies every old way, but I guess our favorite is the simplest…just straight from the garden. I caught my 3 year old eating fresh broccoli like it was a chicken leg the other day. Almost took a picture 🙂

I can put anything into the juicer or into popsicles and they get devoured. No questions asked about what is in it.

Super easy and looks oh so yummy. Thank you for posting this. I immediately pinned it and will definitely be using it after we get back home from our Alaskan Adventure. One of my favorites to do with veggies is to sneak them into things, like soups, lasagnas, etc. The kids have no idea that they’re there because they’re pureed. Yet, they still get the nutrition. Mashed potatoes with pureed cauliflower – they hate cauliflower, but it works every time. They say mommy has the best mashed potatoes. Isn’t that a riot!?
