A Few of My Favorite Spring Time Looks PLUS a J.Jill Gift Card Giveaway!

As a momma to 4 little ones I am always on the look out for comfy yet stylish clothing that allows me to feel put together when most of my days are anything but that. Trust me, I know firsthand how easy it is to fall into the trap of yoga pants and stretched out t-shirts when you have small children who love to wipe their hands and noses on your clothes over and over…and over again! This is why I am so excited to share today’s post with you!

Some of my absolute favorite spring looks happen to come from J.Jill. Have you ever shopped there? I love J.Jill’s spring collections. They just put out a new line showcasing their beautiful linen fabrics; it’s called Linen in a Whole New Light! I love linen for many reasons. The fact that as a busy momma it can be machine washed, dry cleaned or steamed (but let’s face it, mainly that machine wash part!), the high quality of the fabric, and the way it lasts and lasts! Plus did you know that linen is highly absorbent yet natural wicking, which is why it is such a good choice in the summer with all those hot and humid days!

J.Jill updated their linen collection with fresh details, blended knits, and super pretty water color effect prints that gives everyone a new way to experience the awesomeness that is Linen! In the above pictures I am wearing the Linen Big Shirt in Lavender and the color is the perfect blend of light blue with a touch of lavender. I love wearing it with black leggings and boots on a chillier spring day and with J.Jill’s Authentic Fit slim ankle jeans in white on a warmer and sunnier day!

I love how the Big Shirt can be tucked in or left out and look great either way because sometimes, you know, I forget to tuck my shirts in…mommy brain!

I also wanted to share my obsession for the Pure Jill Ballet Sleeve Tunics. This is my go-to shirt on most days – I need one in every color! I love that it looks good with everything…it dresses up yoga pants, people! It is nice and long too so it covers your butt, which is a must for leggings and me!

      jeans and a shirt with 3/4 sleeves is my go to for spring, because in oregon the weather can change in 5 minutes and this way i can still have coverage if it starts getting chilly.

      I just had my 3rd baby a few weeks ago, so anything that makes me feel cute is my favorite right now. I like Leggings and boots, or a pretty skirt to swish against my calves. Or a bright springy t-shirt or tunic!

      Flip Flops cause they are so dang easy to slip on and I can finally enjoy the 2 minutes I took to paint my toenails. (They go great with jeans, capri’s, dresses or shorts – what’s not to love!)

      Anything that can transition from cool environments to warm, including half- or 3/4 sleeve tops and a lightweight scarf. My office is either air-conditioned for penguins or toasty for tropical-minded folks; there’s no in-between.

      I am really leaning toward florals this spring, in scarves and blouses. There are so many pretty patterns and color combinations, it’s a quick way to brighten an outfit.

      My fav spring look is to combine the colors pale peach and a springy green. I like pale peach denim jeans, with a green dressy tee, and cute flats. I make fabric flowers and wear a headband with a peach flower! I also like color combinations of yellow and blue (I’m wearing pale yellow cords right now with a tourquois dressy tee), the colors make you feel happy and sunny! I also have a sun hat I made that is pale green and has a pink silk rose and band.

      I love things that can transition from season to season. My style is somewhere between bohemian, country chic, and rocker-mom, and I love to mix those styles and have fun with them. At the moment, I’m in love with tunics, skinny or fitted jeans, cowboy boots, and a scarf or long interesting necklace. I don’t think any color should only be worn during a specific season, but I like to mix darker, bolder colors with lighter, softer prints. My only rule is it HAS to be comfortable! If I’m pulling at it and fighting with it to keep it fitting right, it gets evicted from my closet. Life is too short to wear uncomfortable clothes, people!

      What a treat to find someone blogging about her love for JJill! After a house fire a few years ago, I went to JJill to replace some of my lost items. The women there were so caring and helped me start getting my wardrobe back together. Not only do I love the clothes, but I also love the women who work there. They continue to help me feel good about my choices and stop me when I’m about to commit a fashion “don’t”! I find the clothes to be easy care and comfortable.
