We had a spectacular fall weekend these last few days…the weather was perfect, the skies were blue and the sun was out! We took the littles out to Tom’s Farm Market a pumpkin patch and kiddie playland extravaganza on Friday afternoon. We like to come here every fall and stock up on their super delicious baked goods. Noah and Penny loved all the fun stuff they have there, a silo full of corn to jump in, petting zoo, hay tunnels, giant hay pile, and all those fun wooden tractors and trains to climb. They were worn out enough to go to bed nice and early for us…Sweet!
Someone is just a little excited to play at the pumpkin patch! Now who could that be?
Penny thinking, ‘yay, I finally have mine very own winter jacket that fits me juuuust right!‘
‘Mom, this is sooo much fun, can we get a silo full of corn in our backyard?‘
Penny lovin’ the corn
Noah, the tractor fanatic!
My hubby and I celebrated 5 years of marriage on Saturday. Wowza, time flies! Who knew we would have two little kidlets by now! We had an early dinner with the littles before we had some nice and quiet kidlet-free time together, just what we needed! My hubby wanted to have fondue so we set out to teach the littles the art of fondue fun the way my family did when I was a kid. Every time you lose your piece of bread or whatever food you are dipping into the pot, you have to kiss someone of the opposite sex. Somehow, Clif seemed to lose quite a few pieces of bread…lucky me :)
Yum…Dinner is served!
My beautiful flower arrangement Clif had made by amazingly talented friend, Wiwik…she even put a little fountain in it!

On Sunday we went with some friends to the More Than Delicious Apple Orchard in Woodstock, IL. It was a beautiful orchard with a ridiculous variety of apples to pick from including the Spitzenburg, Thomas Jefferson’s favorite apple…Who knew! The trees were all overgrown and full which made picking with the littles a breeze. We all know that lots of room to run + lots of apples to eat = a good time for Noah and Penny!

And since we were already up in Woodstock, we headed to the Fall Festival at the Red Barn Farm Market afterwards. We had never been here before so we were really happy when we saw all the fun stuff they had for little kids to do. They had a haybale maze, a giant haystack, petting zoo and corn mazes to run around in…and the kicker was that a lot of it was free! We will definitely be coming back to both of these places again….so much fun! They are now on my list for next fall as well!
We found the ones we want…now, just how do we get them out of here!?!
