I haven;t received many hand made gifts; I am usually the one giving them. I did receive a beautiful pin cushion with a 30s repro dresden plate on it that is so tiny, I don’t know how they made it. That would be the best one so far!

I don’t have any ‘best’ handmade gifts, but these are the gifts I most treasure, knowing someone took the time to make something for me.

Everything my mother and both grandmothers made…. oh, and everything my two sons have made. Recipe books, clothing, quilts, baby blankets and burp rags, knitted washcloths, pottery, beaded jewelry, and the list goes on and on. I always appreciate and value hand made and hand crafted items. Love is the intent and the love and special care is received.

I am from a family of crafters so I have received many handmade gifts. One of my recent favorites is a table runner from my MIL – fall on one side and orange (my favorite) on the other. It fits my house for all seasons!
