Beach Bums

It’s official…we are beach bums! I have to say, one of the greatest thing about summer is the nice weather and the opportunities to get to the beach and enjoy the sand and the water! Yesterday, we were able to head to the beach and meet some friends for a picnic and playdate. It was so much fun! Let me just say that again….it was so much fun! I will have to admit, I was a little unsure of how much fun I would have since I would not only be chasing Noah around but now Penelope as well. Not to forget that it’s a beach and there are lots of people there, it’s hot and sunny, and oh yeah, there’s a big body of water right off of the sand just waiting to give anxiety attacks to any mom who has little munchkins running underfoot. My Noah really shined through though, wearing his ‘big brother protector of little sister’ badge proudly. He made sure he had his eye on her at all times. When Penny would start walking away he would run after her, put his arm around her shoulders and bring her back to the group…it was just so darling! I really wasn’t running in two different directions like I thought I would be, it was rather nice…now, why can’t this be the case when we go to the park? So, upon playing back our trip to the beach in my head, I have a full heart and a smile on my face. I love seeing how my little babies are bonding with each other. Noah looking out for Penny and Penny looking up to Noah…my sweet, sweet babies and my sweet, sweet memories. I’ll hold onto these forever. I just love my little Noah and Penny…I love them….they are the best… Smile!
