Today I wanted to share with you the new Bounce Dryer Bars that are in stores now. You’ll find them in the laundry detergent aisles of your local stores right alongside all the dryer sheets.
The box looks like this:
Umm, did you read how long these little babies last? It’s right there on the front in big orange letters, do you see it now…3 months! How awesome is that? What a joy to never have to think about dryer sheets for 3 whole months. That is simplicity and convenience at its best. Anything to make life a bit easier, right? 🙂
I don’t know about you but I am the worst when it comes to the dryer sheet aspect of doing laundry. I either forget to buy more when I run out or I forget to add it in when I do have some on hand which then leaves me with a whole pile of clothes high on static cling. I’m also quite famous for forgetting to dig in our post-dryer pile and then I end up finding it hidden in between my shirts or in my kids underwear drawer a few days later, good times. With the Bounce Dryer Bar all that dryer sheet mayhem is behind me! I don’t even have to bat an eyelash at the thought of ‘did I add it in‘ or ‘I gotta find the needle in the haystack‘. It’s truly all the benefits of regular dryer sheets in a more convenient way.
To say the least, this Bounce Dryer Bar is pretty awesome. I tried the Free version since it is free of all dyes and perfumes cause well, I have lots of little ones in my house and I like to keep things as simple as can be in my home. Bounce also offers the Bounc Dryer Bar in two other scents (Outdoor Fresh and Fresh Linen), so if you like your fragrances they have a couple to choose from.
When you take the Bounce Dryer Bar out of the packaging it looks like the picture above. Kinda like an oblong bar of soap attached to a plastic holder.
You just flip it over and peel off the paper backing which then reveals the sticky underside.
Then, just like the box directs you to do, you stick it on your dryer drum between and NOT on the fins…easy peasy! Just stick it and forget it! Now the next time you do a load of laundry you can just throw your clean, wet clothes right into your dryer, shut the door and flip the switch…no messing with dryer sheets at all, boom! How awesome is that.
The Bounce Dryer Bar is really such a great invention for all of us busy folk. Not only does it cut out a few steps in the never-ending laundry department but it also gives your clothes that freshness and softness that we all love along with static control.
If you want to learn more about the Bounce Dryer Bar you can visit the Bounce Facebook page here (check out the product tab up top). There you will find helpful videos and a great FAQ section too!

I do all the laundry during the day, and then fold it after the kids go to bed while I’m watching tv. Guilt free tv time.

i set out about 3 hours for laundry and just do it all. wash, dry, and fold right away.

I usually forget that I have a load in the dryer and then it’s all wrinkled so I run it again… ugh… however, yesterday was a laundry marathon and I washed EVERYTHING and put it away right out of the dryer… I wish I could do that more often.
Mommarock says
The dryer is like my iron.. it doesn’t matter how many times I have to run that baby…and re run it.. I will not iron.. I will not iron..so thank goodness it comes out smelling lovely with the dryer bar in there!
Mami2jcn says
I do the laundry while the older kids are at school and then fold and put away in the evening.

how you handle the laundry department at your house? – We get it done when we can. This typically means the weekend.
Do you cut out certain steps to get it done faster? – No, I don’t usually find the soap version trying.
Do you fold all your clothes right out of the dryer? – Sometimes but typically it waits until our kid is in bed. Then we tackle the mound of clothes.

I hang and/or fold the laundry as soon as it comes out of the dryer. All of the folded clothes immediately get taken to the closets. Some of the hanging clothes remain in the laundry room for a couple days, depending on how busy I am at the time.
Connie Babe says
I’ve been using that Bounce bar for quite some time now…I love it. One less thing to do during laundry…and that’s always a great thing!
The Path Traveled says
I have been using Bounce dryer sheets for years and have not tried the bars yet. This would be a great way to get to try them out. Laundry at our home is everyday. How two grown adults can dirty up so many loads is beyond me…LoL!
Beth M. says
I wash 90% of the laundry the same way so I can skip sorting and always run full loads. Makes it a touch easier since I hate laundry more than any other chore.
Rose says
I try to do a load every day or every other day. With my oldest away at college, the laundry level has really dropped. Laundry usually sits in the basket after it’s been dried until someone gets desparate and then we fold.
Stephanie says
Sunday is usually my laundry day. I try to wash, dry, and fold all in the same day!
Jessica @Blessings in the Country says
I do a load when the basket is full. I use dryer sheets and balled up aluminum foil for static cling. (We are a very dry climate.) I usually toss all the dry clothes back into the basket when done and then take it to our bedroom. Then I sort it and attach the hangers. The kids put away their own stuff in their rooms if they are home. I really wish we had a family closet because I hate putting clothes away in three separate rooms.
Cathy M says
I am super picky about the laundry so no one touches it but me! Every piece is sorted out by color; reds with reds, blues with blues, blacks with blacks etc.. you get the picture..
I fold and hang the clothes right out of the dryer. I use the Bounce free dryer sheets and have seen the bars but wasn’t sure how well they worked. Thanks for the review, I will have to try it out once the sheets are gone.

I LOVE my Bounce Bar… and in my HE dryer I swear it lasts even longer than it’s supposed to!
Kathy says
My 4-year old son LOVES to help sort laundry. I put all of the clean laundry in a pile on the living room floor and we THROW it into baskets to sort it and then fold it. I wash and dry it throughout the week and let it pile up until Sunday to sort and fold. We don’t care much about wrinkles. We live in the country. These are our WORK clothes.
Kathy says
I blogged about your giveaway today at:

CDR Mom says
I have a portable hanging rack I keep near my washer & dryer. When things that must be or can be hung to dry, they come out of the washer and go directly to a hanger. When dry, they are ready to be put into their respective closets. Not using the dryer so much helps save $$.
Karen says
My only rule with laundry is that my husband can’t touch it! Otherwise, we end up with loads left in the washer for days and shrunken sweaters. I’m a fan of getting everything folded and put away right away. Of course, having a new baby in the house has interfered with that a bit!
SharkGirlSheena says
I do the laundry as soon as I have a load full. I can’t stand for it to pile up!
I usually use a lightly scented detergent and then an unscented fabric softener. I prefer the liquids, but always forget to add them! I am currently using the Bounce sheets in the fragrance free scent.
But, as good as I am about getting the laundry in as soon as it fills one load, I am TERRIBLE about folding and putting it up right away! It sits all nice and clean (and wrinkled and rumply) in the basket in my bedroom for at least a day or two sometimes!
Unknown says
I love my Bounce Bar 🙂 I hate to fold my laundry!
Val @ It's Always Sunny in Somerville says
We do the laundry while watching TV at night. My husband and I share the job. We’re guilty of leaving clothes in the dryer overnight and having to fluff them again, but I try really hard to get them out and folded right away!
The Rhea Lane Families says
Working mom so I wash when i can and it all stays piled up until x factor night! Then I fold all the laundry while were watching our show!
George Clan says
In my house the washer and dryer are running all day! I have 4 little ones all 9 and under. I bring a load in right from the dryer, I fold and the little ones run them to the right rooms. Later Daddy puts them in the drawers! It is a team effort!
Jen says
I actually like doing laundry! My husband is the worst, so I try and beat him!
Four dogs and one quilter says
My husband likes to do the laundry. Yeah! But he never remembers to put the dryer sheet in the dryer. This product would be perfect.
Bridget says
The husband does the washing/drying and I do all of the folding/hanging. If I left the folding to him it would all be stuffed in drawers and wrinkled…Would really like to try the dryer bar.
Arya says
I love my bounce bar and I use the “free” one too…it makes my life so much easier and I don’t have dryer sheets floating around my home…
My laundry routine is simple – wash clothes, toss in dryer and then pile up on guest bed until I feel like folding them (which is usually the next day or two – sometimes longer)…

I love Bounce. It’s what I’ve always used. So I was excited about the bar. I tried it when it first came out. I have never been so completely disappointed in a product before. It did absolutely NOTHING!!! ZERO!!! ZIP!!! I followed the instructions properly too. I went back to using the sheets.
Oh, I do the laundry in my household. And since I loathe ironing, I fold everything as soon as it comes out of the dryer.
Chenille says
I wait till I get a load and then wash it and dry it. Then life gets busy with two toddlers and so I forget the clothes in the dryer. So they sit in there until I have time to fold and then I have to fluff them because they are so wrinkled. I would love the bounce Bar. I as well, forget to put the dryer sheets in the dryer a lot!
Renee C. says
I usually wash/dry/fold on the weekends. I put my clothes away along with my husbands and 3 year olds and then I have my older 3 kids put their own stuff away.
Shelli Ryan says
I am really horrible about folding laundry after it’s done!
Tonya says
I love the Bounce bar! I do all my laundry on Sunday. I’m usually doing other things around the house while the laundry is going, so it tends to end up sitting in the dryer for awhile before I remember to go get it. I’m also not above leaving the socks and underwear in the basket unfolded for a couple of, uh, days before I get around to them!
mrswaddleduck says
We do laundry twice a week. Sorted by lighter colors (usually the girls), darker colors (usually the boys), and whites (hot water). Laundry is folded right out of the dryer (to avoid wrinkles). The only do full loads but not too full to avoid wrinkles. My 5-year old is in charge of folding his socks and 5-year old and 3-year old know how to properly put away their clothes once mommy folds it. I hang up hangers as those are too high up. I’ve recently heard about people just doing laundry by room without sorting and would be curious if the colors run or if there is a trick to keeping colors from lights and darks separate?
twelve30 says
I’m bad about folding & putting the laundry away. I usually have to run the de-wrinkle cycle on my dryer a couple of times. I also use 1/2 a dryer sheet to make them go further when drying. I’ll have to try the Bounce bar. Thanks for the giveaway.
twelve30{at}gmail{dot}com
Michelle says
I do at least two loads every other day. By running more than one, I’m taking advantage of the dryer already being warm for loads 2+. By doing it every other day, I don’t end up with a huge mountain waiting for me on Saturday. lol I fold, family members put their own away.
Kristen says
Usually my husband does the laundry (and it takes forever, he sorts like crazy, tons of piles). If I do the laundry I try to make sure it gets put away right out of the dryer, otherwise it will sit out for quite awhile!
marisa says
I have the kids fold as SOON as I make piles for them
holliberri says
I try to do one load a day and a lot of times I put each kid’s clothes in one load, with the exception of underwear and delicates. It’s easier to fold it and put it right back in their room.
Becca says
I wait ’til the weekend to do laundry so I don’t feel like I’m always washing and folding.
Usually it gets sorted into 4+ piles and I’ll fold right out of the dryer. It may or may not get put into the drawers right away, but at least it’s not wrinkled.
Shelley says
I try to wash, dry and fold all in one day!
Kassi says
I LOVE the bounce dryer bar!! I’ve been using it for about a year now and will never go back to dryer sheets!! It’s so nice not finding dryer sheets in our clothes all the time. We do our laundry daily.
The Ramblin' Rambo's says
I get it all done in one day. Fold right after it comes out of the dryer!
hollymade says
I do a few loads of laundry a week-fortunately we can make it with 4, maybe 5 loads per week. I’ve started doing a load some nights during the week, then a few on the weekend. Usually clean laundry gets piled on the bed, to be put away after the toddler is in bed. His clothes are easier, put them back in the hamper then toss in the appropriate clothes bins in his room. No folding or anything crazy like that with his clothes.
Rebecca Shockley says
The laundry at my house is crazy with 5 kids and to be honest, I still haven’t organized it to my liking. I usually have the teens wash their clothes and put them away. The towels, blankets, sheets and rags I wash but I have the teens put them away as well. I like to do at least one load a laundry a day to kind of keep up, the part I really dislike is folding and putting them away in dressers. The hanging I have no trouble with. Thanks for the chance!

I usually do laundry as soon as I have a full load. I do it from start to finish right than and there 🙂
Jessica Genoble says
I’m in college and I usually do my laundry on Monday afternoons. I haul my laundry basket up to our common building, bring my detergent, my dryer sheets, and a lot of work. I use all my quarters, and always use cold water. The wash takes 23 minutes and then I throw the two loads into the dryer for 55 minutes, taking them out and folding them immediately because I’m too poor to have an iron, haha. The life of a busy college girl! 🙂
Bobbie Mackey says
laundry is a nightmare at my house. with 5 of us, there are mountains of it, and i only have sunday free to do it. i wash it all, then sit on my living room floor, sorting and folding into piles for the kiddos to come and get it to put it away. my husband always jokes that i am perfect to live with…except for those few hours on a sunday.
i absolutely LOVE the bounce bar. one less thing to think about, and i love that bounce scent fresh out of the dryer.
likeschocolate says
I do a load or two a day, so that it doesn’t get out of control. I put a load in first thing in the morning and fold it at night when I am watching my favorite tv shows. I love this product. It is nice not to have to throw away those sheets. It is one less thing to worry about.
Sims Family says
I am the laziest laundry mom every. I just throw in a scoop of oxyclean with every load for stains. This is great for lazy laundry moms like me!
Kelly says
I do full loads and then fold them right out of the dryer. When I’m feeling lazier though and procrastinating folding the laundry I’ll gather it up and fold it in front of the tv, I’ll notice the show more than I will how much I’m folding! 🙂

I usually take the laundry out of the dryer and lay it on the bed. It may take me a day or so after that to actually get it folded and put away. I’m bad about taking old dryer sheets out of the dryer too. I’ve found a couple in there at a time.
Judi says
Everybody over the age of 6 does their own laundry, and each person has their own laundry day so there is no arguing over the washer and dryer. I do the little ones’ laundry and we throw the towels in whenever there is free space, and the one of the kids is responsible for folding them.
Anonymous says
I feel like I am doing laundry every day. The clothes are presorted into the netted bags and when it’s full, I put them into the washer. Once dried I fold them as I take them out and put them in the proper family member’s basket. The socks go into one basket and while I’m watching tv to put them together. Putting the clothes into dresser is another story. But at least they’re clean.
Dana J.

I just toss it in the dryer for 5-10 minutes after it’s done washing,so it isn’t wrinkled, and then hang it out on the line to finish drying. Sometimes I even forget about it and leave it out there for a few days.lol

My goodness – here in New Zealand we only use dryers when it’s raining/hailing/snowing or otherwise impossible to use the fresh air, wind and sunshine that God gave us. We look rather quizzically at North Americans and their love of power-draining applicances, and we just pop our clothes on the washing line to dry. Quick and easy and cost-free! Sales of dryer sheets (and incidences of clingy clothes) are therefore very, very low here. I don’t think a product like this would even be marketed here. What a wonderfully diverse world we live in. 🙂
annemarie says
I do a load a day in an attempt to keep atop of a laundry pileup!
The Biggs Family says
I ussually wait til I have a ton of laundry & stay home all day & do laundry. I put load in washer & get ready for next load & fold them once I have the next load started (shout/spray & wash done) We have a spot next to tv that baskets of clothes go while they are waiting to be folded. That is my method for knowing if they r clean or dirty. If they r by tv everyone in the house knows they r clean & don’t have to ask me.
Erin G. says
I have two main rules regarding laundry: wash it before the hamper overflows and fold it as soon as possible after it dries. I find it depressing to start a new day with yesterday’s laundry waiting to be folded!
Emily says
I don’t have any secrets to make laundry go faster but I do make my own detergent, wash my jeans inside out to preserve the color (unless they’re grossly dirty on the outside), and line dry a lot of clothes.
April @ PolkaDots n' PinkySwears says
I use wonderful scents (bar, sheets, etc) to make it pleasant and fold the clothes warm out of the dryer!
Kara Miller says
I am so bad about folding laundry! I have baskets of clean clothes all over my house. It’s extra hard when you have a toddler whose favorite activity is undoing your folding!
Tara Burress says
I do the laundry during the day, then fold and and put away at night. Also, I wash with cold water so I wash all of Kid1’s clothes in a load and then all of Kid2’s in a load (darks, whites, etc.)… this eliminates the sorting and saves a TON of time!

Renee Carter says
Right now it’s just my husband and I so I only do 2-3 loads per week but always try to multitask when I fold laundry so I’d say less than 2 hours per week.
Steve & Dea says
I LOVE LOVE the dryer bar. I hated chasing down stray dryer sheets . I love that its easy to take in and out also when I dry my cloth diapers! I also feel like its a “greener” option since I’m not throwing away all those sheets. The scented bars also aren’t overpowering at all they’re very subtle in the finished laundry. I also find for my family at least tehy last longer than the 3months they claim! 🙂

With only two of us, probably only about 4 hours for the whole process. A couple of loads in my high capacity front loader, couple dryer loads then fold and hang up. My 10 yr old puts her own clothes away and brings her hamper down when it is time to wash the clothes. She takes the hamper back up when they are done, folded and on hangers to put away on her own. My number 1 rule: no clothes on the floor. 🙂

Luckily, my hubby does a lot of our laundry and usually tackles it in one day. I take out the delicates and wash the bedding, but with kids, especially boys, it seems like there is always a stain or something that needs to be washed!
Thanks for the chance.

Too many! I work full time so I usually throw a load in each night and then play catch up on the weekends…all weekend. I wash, my 6 year old son dirties and my 12 month old baby girl unfolds while I fold. I love their help!! 🙂
