Cinnamon Crescent Rolls

| Filed Under: Breads, Breakfast, Dessert, Recipes

We had a playdate the other day and I made these…
Cinnamon. Crescent. Rolls.  They were a hit, gone in mere minutes.  I love when that happens.  Enjoy the recipe, it’s one of our favorite quick snacky-time snacks.
Cinnamon Crescent Rolls
Recipe Type: Dessert
Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 10 mins
Total time: 20 mins
Serves: 16
Ingredients
  • 1 can of crescent rolls
  • 3/4 cup cinnamon chips
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Unroll the can of crescent rolls, separate and lay flat on a greased baking sheet.
  2. Spread butter on top of each triangle.
  3. Then cut each triangle into two smaller triangles.
  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon chips, press them into the dough with your fingers and then roll each crescent up and placing seam side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes (per crescent package instructions) or until golden brown.
  6. Let cool and then generously sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Just a few ingredients will get you rave reviews 🙂
Unroll and separate your crescent rolls, butter the tops and then cut each one into two triangles…
Yeah, so as ‘healthy’ as Trader Joe’s crescent rolls are they roll out like, well poo.  Just sayin’.  Not the prettiest picture…ah well.
Then divide 3/4 cup of cinnamon chips among the crescents and press them into the dough with your fingers.
Roll each crescent up and lay them on a baking sheet seam side down.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Mmmm hmmm…that looks golden brown to me!
Once cool, sprinkle them all over with powdered sugar.
Plate up the cinnamon-y sweet goodness…
and devour 🙂
Easy and delicious!
Enjoy!!
XOXO,

These look good. I love making homemade cinnamon rolls, but they take so long. I will have to keep these in mind for a quick alternative.

These look and sound so yummy! For some absurd reason we don’t have cinnamon chips in the UK, so I shall have to improvise! But I’m definitely going to make some this weekend, thanks for the how to!

One of my fave ever cookies is w/ cinnamon chips, which I only just discovered were made too. I like to made homemade cinnamon rolls (even blogged about it cuz they make you feel like a superstar) but I think these would be a very time-saving alternative. And equally yummy. I suppose I could still make the icing and put it on these guys – that’s my fave part.

Um yum. No wonder they were gone so quickly! I’d love to make these with chocolate chips and/or peanut butter and chocolate chips too.

Cracks me up how horrible crescents look when you are rolling them all out and then they bake up like perfection. One of those odd things in life. These looks yummy either way, will have to give them a try.

Wait.. no, no you don’t… I pretty much wont be able to stay sane during the period of time I am going to have to wait to make these!! WHY WHY WHY have you done this to me? Cinnamon Chips are going to be a hard find in this neck of the woods but my will is strong!
