Date and Date

| Filed Under: Life with Kids, Milestones

I’m always so sad to see the weekend go, especially this one since we had a babysitter for two whole days! Heaven. Yup, that about describes it. My mother-in-law came up to give the hubs and I a little break and it was so well needed. Not only did I get some time to do some errands without the littles (see this post) but my honey and I were able to go on a date on Saturday night and have a little one on one time. Ahhhh, no screeching little Penelope and no Noah asking “Why” every waking hour of the day. Pure bliss, that it was!
It was also super nice of Bobo Janet (as Noah calls her) to come up because the hubby and I were able to take Noah to his first official movie together. Yesiree folks, we figured since he is almost three and actually able to sit and watch a full episode of Curious George without constantly getting up every 2 minutes that maybe he could handle it.
So, we went to a early matinee of ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ since he absolutely has been diggin’ this book lately. He just loves Max and now all we say to each other in the house is “I love you, I’m going to eat you up!”. It’s super cute how he’ll kiss Penny all over her face and belly when he says it too, eating her up like he’s cookie monster or something. Overall, I think our adventure went well, it was a great experience and for the most part I think he liked the movie. Clif and I, on the other hand, thought it was super boring and a tad bit sad/depressing…which I guess it was a good thing we took Noah as his age now since most of that was probably way over his head. Which brings me to ask, what movies do you find appropriate for the 2-3 year old age set? I’d love to here your picks. Is there anything you plan on taking your littles to see in the near future? I’m not even sure what is coming out soon. So, now on to other wild things….here are some pictures from our date out with little Noahbear…of course you knew we had to document it, right!?! 😉

That’s right, uh huh…Where the Wild Things Are!
