As much as I love Valentine’s Day, I think it is officially time to move on to the next holiday, wah wah wah! What about you? Are you guys ready to let go of all the pink and red and hearts galore? I can never get enough, I truly love everything about Valentine’s Day but I think it’s time to move forward *long deep sigh* and let’s let it go. The next big holiday for our little family is St. Patrick’s Day. And even though our family is no where close to being Irish we still love to celebrate it in all it’s glory.
My littles love St. Patrick’s Day for the leprechauns. And I can see why. They are like little elves but dressed in green! Tiny and mysterious and full of tricks. Kinda like my kids, haha! Around this time of year we read lots of books about leprechauns and Noah always tries his hardest to devise up plans for making traps and catching them. I thought I would get a head start and make some Leprechaun Lairs for him and his siblings to keep those Leprechauns in case they just so happen to catch one! It’s always a good idea to have a nice cozy place for the leprechaun to relax in, right! And these also make great happy mail gifts to send out to my nieces in California as the oldest is the perfect age for enjoying this type of activity!I made some cute Leprechaun Lair tags with some manilla tags, stamps, washi tape and some yellow twine. Then I found some delicious leprechaun food to feed our leprechauns in case they get hungry! Teeny little apples and lemons in the form of Lemonhead and Applehead candies. I also bought some green apple Tic Tacs to use as Leprechaun bait if you will. Then I wrapped each box up in some card stock and labeled them. Stuff them inside a jar along with a straw so the leprechaun has easy access in and out of the jar as well as some green crinkle paper so it can make a comfy bed and you are all set! Now you can gift this to a sweet little one and let them have some fun trying to catch a leprechaun!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Love,
Maggie

What a cute idea! My boys are adults but I do crafts now & this is so clever! I need to be around some young people to keep my mind active! Thank you!
