I don’t know about you, but my kids love to dress like little rock n’ rollers while they sing and dance to their favorite tunes. And with new release of SING on DVD March 21, 2017 and the DVD Blu-ray, one of our favorite sing-and-dance-your-heart-out movies, I thought it would be fun to create a rock n’ roll inspired craft that we could make before watching the movie together. SING follows the journey of Buster Moon and his attempt to save the theater that has fallen on hard times that he has worked all his life to run. In attempt to save his crumbling theater, Moon creates what he believes is the world’s greatest singing competition. You can follow the journey of Moon and his five lead contestants as they try to reach their dreams and change their lives by rockin’ out to some amazing songs! Embellished Rock Star Sunglasses
To make these easy Embellished Rock Star Sunglasses you will need:
Kids plastic sunglasses
Embellishments such as Rhinestone dots, bows, etc or plastic Flower bead embellishments
Low Temp Glue Gun (best for kids!)
Glue Gun Sticks
To make these fun Rock Star Sunglasses, grab a few pairs of plastic kids sunglasses.
Then grab some embellishments! The sky’s the limit! My kids loved the rhinestone embellishments found in the scrap book aisle of your local craft store. We also found some super cute plastic flower embellishments in the bead aisle.
With a parent’s supervision and/or help, use the low temp glue gun to glue the embellishments on to one another, like adding rhinestones to the plastic flower beads.
Then glue the completed embellishments to the corners or sides of the sunglasses!
We had a blast creating many different Rock Star looks! We practically have a pair for every day of the week now, lol!
