End of Summer breakFEAST Party + Giveaway!

| Filed Under: Back to School, Parties, Reviews, Summer Fun

*Giveaway is now closed!*

*As a participant of the Hungry Jack Ambassador program, I’ve received compensation for my time and product samples for review purposes. Opinions are my own.

My kids and I wanted to throw a little get together with their friends to celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of the school year. A little ‘Good Bye to Summer and Hello to the New School Year’ kinda party! And as our family is big into breakfast (our Sunday breakfasts are out of this world!) we figured what could be a better party theme than a breakFEAST Party!!! It turns out that this is one of the best kinda parties to throw because it involves foods that everyone, no matter the age, loves…pancakes, syrup, bacon, sausage, delicious fruits, and juice!! And everyone leaves with a belly full thanks to eating a well-balanced meal! It’s a kid’s (and adults!) dream come true!!!

End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.com End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.comEnd of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.comPrepping for our breakFEAST party could not have been easier thanks to Hungry Jack’s wonderful line of Pancake & Waffle Mixes! I used the Hungry Jack Original Pancake & Waffle Mix to make plain pancakes as well as I added mini chocolate chips to  one batch to make chocolate chip pancakes (my kids’ favorite!) and then we used the Hungry Jack Funfetti Buttermilk Pancake and Waffle Mix to make a batch of fun sprinkle pancakes!!!

End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.comI made all the pancakes on our new Oster 10” x 20” Griddle with Warming Tray before the party started. And let me tell you that warming tray came in super handy with all the fluffy pancakes I was flipping ahead of time! If you are making pancakes for a crowd you must get a griddle! I was able to make 8 decent sized pancakes in no time, batch after batch after batch! 🙂

We thought it would be fun to not only have a breakfast bar filled with different pancake options but also a syrup bar with different syrup options! You know how kids love their syrup! 🙂 We filled little individual dipping cups with Hungry Jack Original, Butter, and Brown Sugar and Cinnamon flavors. This way guests could mix and match their own flavors!

End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.com End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.comWe also offered watermelon and grapes and I made a few dozen scrambled eggs (all cooked on my griddle…did I tell you how much I love that thing!) as well as bacon and sausage links and patties. For drink options we had orange and cranberry juice with fun paper straws and cups!End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.com End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.com End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.com This breakFEAST party was so much fun! All the kids loved aaaaalll the options. There was even a syrup taste test going on, lol!End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.com End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.com End of Summer BreakFEAST Party // SmashedPeasandCarrots.com

And if you are interested in hosting your own breakFEAST pancake party bar, I am giving away One Oster Griddle, One Oster Waffle Maker, and an assortment of Hungry Jack products to one lucky reader:

What a great giveaway! There are so many things you could cook on a griddle. My mom used to cook not just breakfast but meatballs, grilled cheese, and sliced eggplant on hers. I think I’d try sauté veggies or a good old burger if I had this griddle. Best of luck to all.

I would use it for grilled cheese sandwiches, that way I could make six of them at once, instead of one at a time. The same would apply to pancakes or french toast.

I love just plain ole pancakes. Making several at a time might not be so good for my diet but it would be worth it. Thanks for a chance to win this great giveaway. I do love the setup used for a breakfast party. A great idea for the upcoming Christmas holiday when all my family gets together.

I am a pancake lover too, but just to be different, I would grill some fresh home-made tortillas! Yum! Then we could fill them with grilled peppers and onions with some grilled steak and chicken! Top it all with some salsa and sour cream, we’d be in grilling heaven!

It all look so delicious!! I’d make pancakes when all the grandchildren visit, and for the one who has so many allergies I would get Soy Joy chips so he could feel included with the others who have regular chocolate chips! His first, so no cross contamination! I’d just keep on flippin’ !!! Love this griddle!
