Family Night Fun: Udi’s® Gluten Free Pizza from Pizza Hut®

You guys! Have you heard that Pizza Hut® is now serving “Gluten-Free Pizza” made with Udi’s® certified gluten-free pizza crust!?!?! I was so excited to find this out, eeep! We are always looking for places where we can get a good gluten-free pizza as we try to limit the amount of gluten we eat in our family. And since we love all of Udi’s products we were super excited to try it out!

At our last Family Fun Night we decided that we should do a pizza and movie night and Udi’s gluten-free options from Pizza Hut fit the bill nicely! Pizza Hut offers cheese-only and pepperoni “Gluten-Free Pizzas” as well as a “create your own” option with select toppings. All of these pizzas are made with Udi’s certified gluten-free crust, marinara sauce, and 100% real cheese. They are each 10-inch thin crust pizzas. I found it pretty cool to know that Pizza Hut has partnered with the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG)* to create Gluten-Free Pizza training standards for all their employees to learn how to prepare these pizzas to minimize the risk of cross-contamination. This includes taking precautions when making all Gluten-Free pizzas.
*The “Create Your Own” option is not certified by GIG, only the cheese-only and pepperoni Gluten-Free Pizzas are! Also, please beware that while Pizza Hut is proud to offer certified Gluten-Free pizzas, Pizza Hut kitchens are not gluten-free environments due to the handcrafted nature of their menu items and shared cooking and preparation areas. We ordered a cheese-only and a pepperoni pizza and loved them both! The pizzas definitely did not last long in our house…meaning no cold pizza leftovers for us (we will have to order an extra one next time as I love cold pizza). The crusts are nice and crispy and the delicious marinara and real cheese makes you feel like you are enjoying an honest-to-goodness gluten pizza!
