Last week after school one day we had ourselves our now little Frozen read-aloud and movie party. It was so much fun! I always love doing little parties like this especially when a book and a movie go together! And fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you feel about Frozen these days!) we are still very into Frozen at our house! My momma bought Eloise a Frozen Little Golden Book for her birthday this summer so we grabbed it off the bookshelf and when the bigger kids came home from school we read it out loud while decorating cookies and then watched the movie afterward. It was the perfect after school surprise for my older kids plus an after school snack rolled into one! I made our favorite sugar cookies (recipe found HERE) and a simple fluffy white frosting and had my little decorate the cookies into snowflakes using snowflake sprinkles as a craft. I also had some peppermint dipped snowflake pretzels and some snowballs (white cheddar cheese balls) as part of their movie snack along with a cup of hot cocoa (DIY mix found HERE) with mini marshmallows! This was so much fun for all of us…a book, a craft, a snack, and a movie rolled all into one! We also do a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown read-aloud and movie party every year too (see it all here). Seriously, it is such a great way for the kids to read a book and then see it come to life as a movie…we love these kinda parties!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Love,
Maggie
