Happy 4th of July for those of you stateside! I hope y’all have a great day and weekend enjoying all the fireworks!! Earlier this week we had to say goodbye to some super awesome friends. They are moving out of state and if I can be totally honest, it sucks. A lot. We have known this family for for 6 years and have become sooooo close with them. Our kids are all around the same age and have grown up together. They played together every day. We ate dinner together almost every night. Even our dogs were best buddies. It was awesome. And now they are moving and we are all so bummed. As I’ve been wallowing in my sadness these past few weeks realizing moving day was getting closer and closer I figured I’d throw myself into putting together a gift for them, for their new place. Giving gifts always makes me happy so that should help some then, right? Since moving into a new home means a fresh start, I thought a nice gift to send them off with would be a some fresh new goodies for their new home.
They are big Green Bay Packer fans so when I found a yellow and green striped towel I knew I had the perfect color combo to work with! I found a nice big lidded jar, that can be reused for a plethora of things, and tucked inside it some Meyer’s hand soap (ummm, and in the green and gold color combo, score!), a new kitchen sponge, a super yummy smelling Lavender Lemonade candle, and a bag of peanut M&M’s for the long car ride or just for a burst of energy while unpacking boxes and setting up furniture.
I also printed out a smaller version of this free printable, rounded the edges and tied it with ribbon to the front of the jar.
I hope this gift comes in handy as they are making their new house their home. We miss you guys so much!!!! Come back!!!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Love,
Maggie
