I Love the Mailman

| Filed Under: Fabric, Things I love

Yesterday I opened up my mailbox and you know what was inside?
These lovelies:
A whole pretty stack of fabric!

{The Circa 50 Collection by Monaluna for Birch Fabrics}
I have been drooling over these fabrics since I first laid my eyes on them, aren’t they just Yummy with a capital ‘Y’?  They are as bold and colorful as I had imagined they’d be!
I love the retro look and what’s even better is that they are 100% organic cotton!!

I just love everything printed on the fabric even right down to the cute little retro house that is printed on the selvage edge.
It’s adorable right?  C’mon you know it is!
This beauty is probably my favorite, I just love the little red VW van…and the scooter!  Okay, you gotta admit now THAT is adorable!!
Okay, so what should I make with these lovelies?
When I have such pretty fabric in my possession it’s so hard for me to cut into it.
What would you make?
Little boy pants?
Pillowcases?
Crayon Rolls?
A Baby Romper?
A Little Girl’s Dress?
Help!!!!  Give me your input, what would you make???
Happy Friday My Friends!

Oh wow these are gorgeous! LOVE THEM!! I could see these being pretty snazzy crayon rolls, although the first thing that came to mind was a little boy simple block quilt- do keep us updated!

Well my first thought is t say crayon rolls but they are such cute prints it would be a shame to get crayon on them! How about one step further from pillow cases and make some super fun decorative pillows. Then you can throw them on a bed with gray or black or even one of the bright colors like red, bedspreads! That would be super fun! And they are kind season like the tree print for fall, cars for summer, green retro print for spring or even Christmas! Make the backs solid colors so you can flip for more flexibility…oh the possibilities!

Hey that totally does give me a “Dr. Suess” vibe! haha good call “Orange Blossom”!

P.S. I’m super jealous! My pc still gets a drool bath every time I see this collection!

You’re right- these are yummy! I think you should make something for each of your kids- little pants and rompers. If you have any leftover you should make pillows. 🙂

Oh, my. I am on a fabric diet but I don’t think I can resist these. I think lounge/jammie pants would be fun & I also love the idea of wee little bucket bags for the kids–it’s a win/win: they get to tote around little treasures & you get to see the pretty fabrics all the time.
    That’s it. I’m getting some!

when I have fabric I love I don’t want it to get ruined. If you make kids clothing it’s bound to get stained or worse so I wouldn’t do that. the only answer for me is a quilt.
