I hope all of you here in the States had a lovely Memorial Day weekend! We don’t often get to enjoy three-day weekends (let alone two-day weekends!) with both my hubby’s and my job but this past weekend we had the opportunity and seized it! We packed up the car and had a little mini-vacation complete with hotel stay, pool time, and lots of crazy kid fun. I thought I’d share a little recap of some of the fun we had 🙂
It wouldn’t be Memorial Day weekend without some Red, White and Blue in swimsuit form! You might remember Noah and Penny sporting these suits last Fourth of July in this post here. They still fit! (and WOW have my kids grown!!) This year Ellie joined in on the fun, doesn’t she look super cute lounging poolside!
Ellie don’t forget to stretch those legs before you jump in…and did you wait an hour after eating too?
Penelope enjoyed pretending she was a dolphin and loved being shot out of the water. But who am I kidding, that is fun at any age!!!
I loved this shot because I keep thinking how Noah looks like he just won gold at the Olympics and is doing a lap waving his flag behind him. Maybe one day he’ll replace the towel for an actual American Flag at the 2024 Olympics 🙂
Ellie was all over the place in the hotel room, moving a mile a minute and getting into everything! She found our luggage and was so proud of herself when she was able to climb inside…and then she promptly started throwing all of our clothes out!
Can you believe that Ellie started walking? EEEK, I’m still in shock! She is only 10 months old. Well, I guess we were expecting this as both Noah and Penny started walking at 10 months too…now we are in trouble, big time, as walking is just the beginning of that slippery slope that leads to climbing and scaling all furniture no matter the height!
We were lucky to get a family picture this past weekend too. Shew! Everyone’s looking and nobody’s eyes are closed…do you know how hard that is to do?!
Well, vacation is over and it’s business as usual again at our house.
Come back tomorrow for a little tutorial I’ve been working on, I can’t wait to show you!!

Aw, so fun. Your kids are just a perfect little mix of the two of you! Looks like a blast!
I feel you on the walking 10 month old. Nicole was walking full time at nine months, she’s never crawled in our current house and she was nine months when we move here so no matter how incredulous I get as time goes by I know that’s the timeline. Now Nicole is nearly four and Olivia is 6months and pulling herself to stand and trying to scootch around furniture and a small part of me kind of wants to knock her back down, haha. So cute, and you’re so proud, and they look so little doing the big things… but oooooh boy, are they trouble! lol. I’m finding with the younger one she’s a lot braver than the oldest was because she sees the big sister doing things… no fear! Which equals lots of fear for mommy, haha. So yay for Ellie and awwwww for you! lol

What a fun weekend! Love the pictures! I can’t believe Ellie’s walking already! Maybe those yummy thighs will slow her down for another month or so. 😉

Maggie….I so enjoy your blog….you take the best pics of your sweet children! They are always beaming and having an amazing time, and you capture that in each pic. You are obviously a great mom! And your kids smiles prove it! Good mommy! (ok…and daddy!)
