Millstone Coffee in the Mornings

*This post was written on behalf of Millstone® Coffees. I was sent product to try and, as always, all opinions and ideas are my very own!
Anyone that has little children knows they love to get up in the morning completely recharged and 100% full of energy, run into your bedroom, jump on your bed as hard as they can, and land oh-so-perfectly right on top of your head all before 6 am. Before any sane person is ever fully awake and ready for the day. Before the sun is even shining gosh darn it. It’s pretty much the reason why coffee and me are BFFs. Like, I should buy us one of those heart necklaces from back in my junior high days. You know the ones. Where the heart looks completely and sadly broken in half….best…friends. Awwww yeah. Thanks to my four little loves I am always on the lookout for great tasting coffee to brew up in the morning….and the afternoon. And Millstone® premium coffee is just that my friends. It is slow-roasted to bring out the best flavor possible by tailoring time and temperature to every bean’s unique characteristic which then makes one exceptional cup of coffee. I love their new variety House Blend which is a medium roast coffee with globally sourced Arabica beans. It is well-balanced and has a smooth finish which I really like aaaand it smells heavenly while it’s brewing!
I love to pair my morning coffee with a breakfast cookie like this one. Something slightly sweet, healthy, and filling… and perfect for dunking! Of course if you dunk you must have black coffee, straight up with no sugar. Yum and yum! Who’s with me here?

And a tip if you so happen to have any leftover coffee is that you can pour it into ice cube trays and freeze them. These coffee cubes are great for keeping your iced coffee from getting too watery or you can thaw them when you have a recipe that calls for a small amount of coffee! To keep your coffee cubes fresh, just pop them out once they are frozen and keep in an airtight ziploc bag. Just make sure to date the bag in case you don’t use them quickly enough!

Millstone® Mayan Black Onyx ™ and House Blend Coffees are available in grocery stores nationwide beginning August 2014.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Love,
Maggie
