I know some of you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, you can follow me here: @smashedpeasandcarrots) but for those of you who do not I thought I would share some of the pictures I have shared over there since the IG format seems to make it is so much easier to share “Day in the Life” type pics then it is in the blog format. I know, I know, how many social media sites does one really need? To be honest, I think I might love Instagram the best. I am a total visual person, so I love all the pictures. You can really figure someone’s style out by the photos they share. And it’s a great way to get to know someone as the format makes chatting it up so much easier. Anywaaaays, here are a few peeks into my life from the past couple of weeks…hope you enjoy! We seem to be having an un-ending winter here in Chicago this year. The amount of snow and below zero freezing days is just plain crazy. We had so much snow in our yard that Clif was able to make the littles’ this super cool snow fort/tunnel. This thing is awesome! Even I can fit in it and play in there. Little Oliver is becoming quite the helper these days it is seriously the cutest thing you’ve ever seen. He loves to help daddy work on my new studio…which hopefully will be done sooner than later (fingers crossed on that!) We enjoyed Fat Tuesday with a whole bunch of yummy Pacszki (for lack of other words, a delicious polish donut). We have to live it up as you can only get them once a year! I had never heard of them until I moved here but Chicago has a huge polish community so you can find these all over the place the day before Lent starts. The best ones are made at Polish bakeries. My favorite are the custard filled ones…yum! I hosted my first Instagram giveaway with a bunch of my wonderful friends and fellow creative mamas (find us at #creativemamas) last week. See, if you follow me on Instagram you might even win yourself some beautiful fabric!Lately I have been absolutely dying over all the pretty goodness at Target. Seriously, look at these lovelies I picked up for $3 and less! Floral straws, a date stamp and ink pad, pretty scrapbook papers?! Winning! I also scored this pretty calendar for pennies…yes pennies! (and yes, I realize it is March…but my other calendar somehow disappeared by way of some teeny little hands). Target clearance for the win, people…all. the. way. And after all the pacszki eating I finally decided it was high time I tried out an Extend Barre class taught by a sweet friend of mine at her pilates studio. It is such hard work. Like make you cry kinda hard. My arms and bum burn like no other but that means something is happening so I will keep at it, crying and all.And these. Peanut Butter Easter m&ms. Yet another darn reason I need the Extend Barre class.
Thanks for stopping by today!!
Love,
Maggie

This is so wonderful! I really loved all the pictures so much! I love the way each item, so simple on its own, was brought to life and made cuter in each picture! Thanks for brightening my day!
