Naptime Rainbows and Some Babble

During Eloise’s nap time yesterday Noah decided to build a rocket ship while Penelope decided we’d play nail salon.
She came up with this:
Rainbow nails!  Or as she likes to call them her “Jellybean toes”.  Just perfect for our Spring weather and the fact that all last week they were learning about rainbows in preschool.  She was over the moon crazy excited that she got to dictate momma’s nail color too…did you know we are twins now!  Maybe someday soon I will get enough nerve to try to do Eloise’s nails so they can be sister twins.  Right now I just don’t see her sitting still long enough for them to dry which would mean nail polish all over our carpet and furniture I’m sure.
Oh, and I’d love to say a big THANK YOU to all of you who voted for me over at Babble.com as last week I found out that Smashed Peas and Carrots was chosen one of the Top 50 Mom Craft Blogs of 2012.  Totally cool!

That makes two years in a row, THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!  I’m in great company once again and if you’d like you can click here to see all the other lovely blogs on the list!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

I love the rainbow toes! I usually do this once or twice during the summer.

And congrats on the Mom blog recognition. This older Mom applauds what you’re doing with your little ones.

Aww! Well, I will admit that I have painted Noah’s toes in blue and green since it’s no fun being left out of a nail painting marathon!

JELLYBEAN TOES! What a great easter basket gift (I try to avoid candy since their grandparents give it to them in their baskets).

Looks like a quick pre-church pedi on easter morning will be taking place in our house…or maybe the bunny could paint their toes while they sleep for a nice surprise 🙂

These would totally be awesome easter basket gifts! The colors are awesome and the paint dries pretty darn fast too!
