This Notebook Paper Pencil Pouch Teacher Gift Idea is the perfect place for your favorite teacher to hide snacks or sweet treats during their busy day!
Or maybe it’s just a super cute place for them to keep all their favorite school supplies. You know the ones that are just for them to use, no sharing with the kids allowed regarding anything inside this pencil pouch! I said, “back away from the pencil pouch, kids!” This fun idea was our Back to School teacher gift we gave to our wonderful teachers last year. I know! I’m really late to the game in sharing this one. But nevertheless, I am sharing it now, better late than never, amiright?!
Again, if you remember my post from yesterday here, I bought these cute little canvas pencil pouches at Target. They had THE cutest line of school things last summer! I about snatched every darn one of them up and stockpiled them! Now, have no fear if you cannot find them anywhere. You can totally make your own and it is so easy! You can buy plain canvas pencil pouches at Michaels and then grab some fabric paint and some thin paintbrushes while you are there. You will need a red paint for that classic notebook paper line on the left hand side and then some lighter sky blue fabric paint for the lines going across horizontally. Really, a totally do-able project even for the non0-crafty! Maybe I’ll show you how in an upcoming tutorial? 😉
Notebook Paper Pencil Pouch Teacher Gift Idea
Anyhoo, I of course got out my trusty Silhouette cutting machine and did a nice little “This Belongs To” and then in a script font did each teacher’s name in some HTV. Don’t ask me the font because I have no recollection of it…it was a year ago!!! Sorry. Then after heat pressing everything on, I filled each bag with some sweet treats…dark chocolate and skittles! And of course I had to add in some must-have school supplies…Expo markers for the win! It’s the perfect little pouch for all things fun!And now everybody knows who to return all those goodies to when you misplace your treats! 😉
