Do you all know this song? Or does my post title make absolutely no sense to any of ya? It’s called ‘Best Friend‘ and as Google tells me it’s by Harry Nilsson. I just love the sing-song melody and the way it can get stuck in my head all day long. I know it from the small (and I mean small) amount of time I watched that MTV show ‘Rob and Big‘ when it was on way back when (yes, I watch bad MTV shows too, lame secrets revealed again!) but as I was talking to my mom about it she said it was from the TV show ‘The Courtship of Eddie’s Father’…wha the whaaaat? Never heard of it…anyways, I thought this song perfectly summed up this picture:
Isn’t it sweet? That’s Little Miss P with my parents dog, Bella. She’s an 100+ pound chocolate lab…yeah, don’t even get me started on the hugeness of this doggie…Penny is just taken with her. Maybe it’s cause she let’s Penny sit next to her, hug her and lay on her as long as Penny cares to give the love (which is often and for very long periods of time). Much unlike our doggie who runs away after 2 minutes of excess toddler hugging…humm, gotta live up the big, chill dog personality I guess. What can I say, I just think they are super adorable the way they hang out together!
So, my parents are still in town for their Easter visit and I just wanted to let you know that the bloggity blog will be back to it’s regularly scheduled programming soon, very soon 🙂 We’ve been having lots of fun playing outside in beautiful weather and enjoying grandma and grandpa, it’s been so nice! I love having my family in town 🙂

Aw, what a sweet duo! 😉 My labs let my daughter climb all over them… It’s like they don’t even realized that she’s there (and climbing is a daily event here!) That’s so sweet how she’s holding Bella’s paw!! Aw!!

What a sweet picture! Big dogs rock! We have a 150lb mastiff and my kids climb all over her, use her as a pillow while watching tv and wrestle with her. I love it!
I have a thing for Labs, there is something just so sweet about them! Haven’t met one that didn’t like to be cuddled. We have a 100+ pound black one at our house and it just wouldn’t be the same here without him!
