Happy Christmas Eve Eve!! I know half of you have little ones finishing up their last day of school before winter break today and the other half of you already have your kids out of school and you are currently ON winter break right now (bless you all) so this post probably won’t help you in the Teacher Christmas Gifts department. Buuuut, I figured I’d share it anyway as maybe you could keep it in your back pocket for an End of Year Teacher Thank You Gift! You can always save it to your toolbar or even Pin it for later….Pinterest is so darn good for saving up all those ideas, amiright? 🙂 Anyhoo, I made these super fun Coffee Mugs using my Silhouette Cameo and some lovely vinyl and just love the way they turned out….plus that mug! All the heart eyes!!!
I found these amazing ceramic Ello Travel Mugs at Target (you can get one here too for the same price and with free shipping, woo hoo!) and couldn’t resist buying them for our teachers as I just love the simplistic design. They are ceramic so they keep your beverages hotter longer, are BPA and everything else free, plus they have this amazing sturdy, cool looking, and super comfy wooden handle. I just love everything about them! I bought Every. Single. One. in the two Target locations near me because between my four littles we have like eleventy billion teachers to wish a very Merry Christmas.
I found this super cute Silhouette file in the Silhouette store and reduced it to fit the mug. Then it was the usual cut on vinyl, press to transfer tape, and then press onto mug. I didn’t want to wash the mug before giving them as gifts because I wanted to keep the little sticker on the front that came with it along with the hang tag (you can kinda see it under the handle) so instead I wiped the front and back with alcohol to prep it for my vinyl. I also used Oracal 651 which is a supposed to be a permanent vinyl so hopefully it will last a really long time!
I filled each mug with a Starbucks Via Instant Peppermint Mocha packet and some Peppermint Crunch chocolates because, umm, it’s freezing cold here. And then added a Starbucks gift card too.
From what I’ve heard so far, everyone has loved this gift…hooray!! I kinda want to make one for myself…is that weird? I shape little minds too, right? 😉
Thanks for stopping by today! And have a Merry Christmas if we don’t talk before then!
xo,
Maggie
