Ugly Duckling Vintage Pattern Series: Modern Vintage Bubble Romper

Modern Vintage Bubble Romper

Oh my friends, how I triple heart today's post. Which by the way, is brought to you by the lovely ladies over at SimpleSimonandCo. They asked me if I'd like to participate in their Ugly Duckling Pattern Series where they ask bloggers to take an ugly, old pattern and modernize it making it something you'd actually want to wear…or sew for that matter! As you know my love for … [Read more...]

Hello Kitty Let’s Play Clothing and KuKee!

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and KuKee, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #helllokittyletsplay  http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO. My little Penny has been a fan of Hello Kitty ever since she was a wee little thing. So we were both thrilled to find out that Evy of CA has a new Hello Kitty Let's Play DRESS UP … [Read more...]

TUTORIAL: The 30 Minute Color Block Skirt

Did you know that this week is Kids Clothes Week (or what used to be Kids Clothes Week Challenge) over at Elsie Marley? Yup, it totally is. If you don't know what KCW is, it's just where sewers are challenging themselves to work on making kid's clothes during one week this spring.  Pretty simple, right? This challenge has become so big that there is now a blog devoted to … [Read more...]

The Flip Vest: Pattern Review and Giveaway

I was lucky enough to be asked by Dana of Made if I would be willing to test her newest pattern, the Flip Vest, a few weeks ago. Ummm, yes!  Of course I would!  I just love Dana and all her patterns and tutorials...well, her whole blog is pretty darn perfect in my opinion.   Her newest pattern, the Flip Vest is a reversible child's vest and it was just released last … [Read more...]

Easter 2012

Happy Easter 2012!  Only a few days late but for a good reason as we were visiting my family out east and just returned home yesterday!  The car trip was a whopping 12 hours and the kids did fabulously, I am still shocked.  I think we made a good call when we decided to forego the long drive through the night we normally do and go for the drive during the day instead. … [Read more...]

No Sew Sequin Shamrock Shirt-TUTORIAL

**See tutorial below!** How about another easy St. Patrick's Day idea?  This one takes almost as much time as my 10 minute Knot Wreath seen here, quite possibly 12 minutes, and mainly because you need to be just a little, eensy weensy bit careful since you are using glue :-)  The best part of this shirt and the reason it's so easy?  It's NO SEW!  So if you love to DIY … [Read more...]
