Say thank you to your favorite teacher at the end of the school year with this super cute and very easy to make Teacher Apreciation Candy Card!
It’s the end of the school year and my girls are on it in the end of year gifts department. Penelope really wanted to make her teacher a fun card with candy so she spent last Friday thinking up all the types of candy that could be used in sentence form. And little miss Eloise is all upset that her favorite teacher ever is leaving the school for another job so she wanted to give her something special so that she will remember her forever. So the girls and I worked on this fun Candy Card over the weekend (and we made a couple more for the boys’ teachers too!) so they could let them know how much their teachers mean to them.
Isn’t it amazing how many candy bars have names that can be used in fun sentences!? (affiliate links present)This is Ellie’s card for her teacher. Feel free to copy it if you’d like to use the idea. Since I have four kids and therefore four teachers, each card is similar to this one with minor differences because of things like my oldest boy does not want to give his teacher an overly mushy card, duh mom! 😉
Teacher Apreciation Candy Card
We ended up using tri-fold poster board like this because we thought my kids could fold it in to some degree and it would then be a little less bulky as they carried it to school. And because of this I needed to make sure that the sentences were the right length so that the candy didn’t end up being glued to the folds in the board.
Things you will need to make a Candy Card:
- Tri-fold Poster Board
- Thick Marker(s)
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks (just make sure not to press down too hard when you are glueing the candy to the board!
- Lots of Candy (full size looks the best!)
