Yesterday was our Annual Halloween Bash and what a sugary fun time we had! We had lots of Noah and Penny’s little friends there, lots of good food and lots of very cute costumes! I love hosting parties and the Halloween one we do every year is a clear favorite…I just love to see all the little ones dressed up and each year they wear their costumes for longer periods of time as they are starting to understand the concept more…this year the point they all understood about Halloween is CANDY!! We have such wonderful friends and we are so happy to get everyone together for a little mommy/kidlet playtime where us mommas can actually relax and enjoy without worrying about our little ones causing chaos in public! I unfortunately wasn’t able to take too many pictures of the party…Noah really likes to play with our camera and ended up using all the battery soon after the party started. At least I think I know what we can get him for his birthday this year! Anyhoo, here are some pictures of Noah and Penny and their costumes…an elephant and a peanut..and a couple from the party as well!
Noah likes to tell people, ‘elephants love peanuts!’…too cute!
A snap from the costume fitting the night before the big bash!
Penny gets her very own pumpkin this year…what a big girl!
And a snap from the party! Why is it so hard to get littles at this age to look at the camera and smile…one of the million dollar questions I’m sure!
We had some super great costumes this year…besides my little elephant and peanut we had an astronaut, batman, a cowgirl, mermaid, little red riding hood, a penguin, fireman, a turtle, Horton the elephant, and mickey mouse!
I really wanted to have the kidets play some games this year and tried and tried to find some type of Halloween pin the tail on the donkey game but couldn’t find a thing. So, on a trip to the dollar store I found this little Frankenstein cut out and thought he would make the perfect ‘donkey’ so to speak. The kidlets ended up playing a new twist on the game, put the band-aid on Frankenstein’s boo-boo! They all had lots of fun, I mean what little one doesn’t enjoy sticking band-aids all over anything!?!
And, since my camera battery died early on at the party…super big sad face 🙁 …I didn’t even get a chance to take very many pictures of my buffet table *sigh* The battery was charged enough afterwards that I took a few snaps of the leftovers. Here is a picture of the pumpkin dip I made and put in a miniature pumpkin. I’ll give you guys the recipe for this later…it was soooo good! Tasted just like pumpkin pie without the crust…Super YUM!
