Hey all! Okay, so I just wanted to let you all know that I finally took the plunge and started up a Smashed Peas and Carrots Facebook page! I really love the idea of getting to know all of you on a more personal level there and since I am on Facebook so much more than my blog I will be able to chit chat a lot more with you there 🙂 To ‘like’ my page all you have to do is click on that cute teeny pink ‘f’ either on the right side bar of my blog or right here:

It’s that easy!! Then we can talk and talk and talk some more over there. Sound fun!?! Now, all we need is a good cup of coffee or maybe a venti soy iced chai latte and we are all set 🙂
I’ve also mentioned before that I am on Twitter…I mentioned that before, right? Well, truth be told I really had no clue as to what it was all about BUT that was then…NOW I’ve got a good handle on it (Woot Woot!) I know what a hashtag is and what that whole @ symbol is all about and I have even been known to ‘retweet’ some awesome tweets that I have enjoyed reading from some of you that I follow or follow me! It is actually quite a bit addicting and has been the perfect boredom buster for those long nursing sessions with Eloise when she’s starting to doze off and I just can’t take another Law & Order SVU…I mean seriously how many times does that show come on!!

If you aren’t sure about why you might follow someone on Twitter or ‘like’ someone’s Facebook page well let me tell you that there are some great benefits that I have been enjoying. Lots of designers as well as fabric shops give out special discounts or free shipping to those that are following them on Twitter or ‘liking’ their Facebook pages. Sandi Henderson of Portabellopixie fame actually just gave out 2 boxes of her fabric stash to TWO of her Twitter followers…LUCKIES!! And many stores like Whole Foods or coffee shops like Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts will give out discount codes, coupons and even free drinks to followers too.
I plan on doing some special giveaways on my Facebook page as well as on Twitter too, just some fun stuff for you guys for being such great internet buddies! Also, since Christmas is only a mere 3 months away (ah gah!!) I also plan on throwing out some special discounts for my Etsy Shop too! Okay, so that is all…I really hope you’ll pop on over to my new Facebook page and join me in a whole new world of fun!
