Ahhh, it’s so good to be back after a nice little break, isn’t it! I hope your new year started off well 🙂 We stayed busy with a long weekend at a water park and then ended our winter break by taking the kids ice skating! It will be sad to have the kids back in school but sooo nice to be back on a schedule. I have let some things slide over the past two weeks (my house looks like a some college kids threw a party here, eek!) and it will be nice to be back on track! I thought to start the new year off here on the blog I would share the Top 10 posts of 2015…it’s always fun to look back on what you guys loved. Some posts I feel were no brainers and others I was shocked had as much love as they did! Ahh, it’s always so fun to look!!!
10. Grain Free Paleo Breakfast Cookies
This recipe has been well-loved since the moment I hit publish. I love that so many of you want healthy, better-for-you recipes! I will try my hardest to keep adding more goodies like this as I have time to photograph and write them up, you know I have a bunch of them in my head ready to go!
9. Gluten Free Pumpkin Donut Muffins
Even though the pumpkin in this recipe gears it more towards fall baking, I love that this recipe has had staying power all year long. Pumpkin is great anytime, am I right!!! And if you would like the non-pumpkin version of this recipe, you can find it HERE. Of course this version wasn’t far off from the Top 10 list itself! 8. French Seam Pillowcase Set in Under 30 Minutes
Ahhh! One of my favorite sewing tutorials! I love this tutorial (and apparently so do many of you!) for the clean seams and ease of sewing it all together. Even if you are a novice to sewing, you really will be able to make these pillowcases in 30 minutes, no lie! I make these for housewarming gifts for friends all the time, one of the prettiest gifts you can give! 7. Gluten Free Baked Apple Cider Donuts
YAY! Another fall recipe that has held it’s place all year long! I love seeing ping backs from this recipe show up almost daily!!! And for those that are new, yes, you can buy apple cider in the aisle with the juices all year round. This recipe, it’s a winner through and through. You will never have a more delicious gluten free baked apple cider donut, pinky swear!!
6. Watercolor Resist Painting Using School Glue
I looooove that y’all keep coming back time and again to my blog for educational crafts! It’s one of my favorite things to share! This particular art craft is a fun one too. Not only do you get to use school glue but watercolors too…like my two favorite craft supplies of all time. My kids love doing watercolor resists and it seems like yours do too, hooray! 5. How to Sew Bias Tape
I am always so thrilled when I see this tutorial pop up as a popular post. It was also in last year’s Best of 2014 as well. I gotta admit I blush every time I get an email where someone shares how this post finally helped them tame the bias tape beast. It means a lot to me that so many of you found this helpful in your learning to sew journey!!! 4. Creamy Crockpot Chicken Alfredo
This is one post that shocked me to be on the Top 10 of 2015. I cannot believe that this recipe was so popular this past year. I think just because it is a few years old but that just goes to show you that crockpots are still being used and still a big part of family dinner…I love that!! All hail the crock pot!!!!
3. No Bake Energy Bites
Oh man. This recipe. It seriously has taken on a life of it’s own. I think this was one of the first ever energy bites recipes to hit the internet and it has morphed into so many variations and crazy creations. So many recipes out there point right back to this one as the start of it all. That’s pretty darn cool. I was even asked to write a cookbook on this very thing thanks to this recipe, can you believe that!!!?? 2. Little Girl’s Crossover Pinafore Pattern
Man, can I tell you all how much I just love this little pattern. One of my absolute favorites of all time. Now that my girls are getting bigger, they don’t really fit theirs anymore and that just makes me sad! But what makes me happy is seeing the emails and the tags on IG where you share with me your beautiful versions!!!! So happy!!! This pattern will always be near and dear to my heart and I am so glad it is near and dear to yours…and that so many of you have used this pattern as your first foray into sewing….AWESOME!!!!1. Family Favorite Essential Oil Blends
This post. How did I not see this one coming? I love love love our essential oils and of course so do many of you!!!! They are so amazing, aren’t they!? If you ever have any questions regarding the oils and oil blends we use in our family please do not hesitate to email me. Many of the oil companies ask that those of us who share any info on them online to be complaint so I am not at liberty to answer your questions in the comments section. I hope you understand!
