Leaf, Leafs...No? Ah yes...Leaves! - Smashed Peas & Carrots

Hooray! Our neighbors will be so excited…me and my babes went out this afternoon to attempt to bag some of the massive amounts of leaves that have so sweetly decided to fall all over our yard. Un-hooray, since we ended up not bagging a single little one of those crunchy little suckers…Hooray! again, because we had a crazy good time raking massive piles of leaves and jumping into them, throwing them in the air like it was snowing and me, the momma, burying each of my littles in them so only the very tippy of their sweet little noses could be found! Ahhh yes, reason #472 why I love Fall! I really had every intention of bagging leaves today, really I did, I mean who could love seeing bags and bags of a hard afternoon’s work all sitting lined up in a row at the end of our driveway more than this type A personality!?! It’s just that it’s waaaaay more fun to play in them and the leaves are going to be there tomorrow and the next day and the next day, so really what’s the rush? Today, we could play outside in the beautiful fall weather and I could listen to the giggles of my two littles throwing leaves at each other and crunching them beneath their feet…enjoying some of Fall’s greatest pleasures! Deep breath…as I take it all in again…for I hear rain is in our forecast tomorrow, Oh Schnikeys!
