How to Make a Mug Rug and New Fall Delish

I wanted to let you all know that I have a tutorial for a Mug Rug up in the latest issue of Delish.

What’s a Mug Rug you ask?
It’s a cozy little quilted coaster that fits your mug of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc and a nice little snack.  Perfect for having by your side during the winter months while you read a good book or blog 😉
I showed you one I made last year in my ‘how to sew bias tape’ post here, remember?  The great thing about a mug rug is that you get to practice some quilt-y topstitching…I just show you straight lines in the article cause I’m no quilting pro but you could obviously go hog wild and try stippling or other designs too.

You can find my mug rug tutorial in the Fall issue of Delish here.  It’s a free online magazine chock full of great articles on all sorts of fun things like DIY crafts, recipes, good books, fabric (!)…la-la-la…you get what I’m thrown’ down right  🙂
XOXO,

I admired your last mug rug from the tutorial. Another one of yours I’d like to get around to sometime is a few cloth napkins which are all we use in our house – re-usable! Christmas ones comin’ up!
